Public vinyasa classes:
Vinyasa yoga is a system of practice that mindfully joins one posture to another in conjunction with the breath. Classes use creative sequencing and a more energetic pace to introduce deeper moving meditations. Many postures are taught with options for modifications, encouraging students to approach the practice in a way that is best suited to their individual bodies. Breath focus is also integrated throughout the class, helping to centre and quieten the mind. Through the continual development of strength, mobility, stamina and breath awareness, students are given an opportunity to cultivate greater energy, mindfulness, and overall well-being.

Classes begin with a short meditation, either standing, seated or in a restorative/yin pose, and follow with gentle stretches that help open the body and awaken the breath. Classes then progress through sun salutations and strength and flexibility building sequences that integrate healthy alignment in standing and balancing poses, seated postures, and finally backbends and/or inversions. Classes finish with a deep relaxation.

Level 1: This class is open to students new to Yoga as well as those who wish to enjoy a rejuvenating and gentle practice. Emphasis is given to learning healthy alignment in the basic postures, offering modifications for individual students' needs. In this class, the inclusion of dynamic as well as restorative practices will help students dismantle tension and reconnect with a greater sense of well-being.

Level 2: This class explores more intermediate level practices, including some inversions and arm balances. An emphasis is placed on using intelligent alignment principles to deepen awareness in postures and awaken greater mobility and strength. Breath work will be integrated throughout, encouraging practitioners to centre and quieten the mind. Through the continual development of strength, mobility, stamina and breath awareness, students are given an opportunity to cultivate greater energy, mindfulness, and overall well-being. Modifications are given to meet the needs of all students.

Level 2-3: This class is a deep, moving meditation. It weaves arm balances, inversions, and longer holds in postures into a creative, dynamic vinyasa-based practice. Students will expand their understanding of anatomy and alignment so that challenging practices can be approached safely and mindfully. Breath work will be integrated throughout, encouraging practitioners to centre and quieten the mind. Through the continual development of strength, mobility, stamina and breath awareness, students are given an opportunity to cultivate greater energy, clarity, and overall well-being. Modifications are given to meet the needs of all students.

Open/All level: This class explores beginner, intermediate and advanced asanas. All levels are welcome, and options are available so that poses can be modified to suit individual students' needs. An emphasis is placed on using intelligent movement and alignment principles to deepen awareness in postures and awaken greater mobility and strength. Breath work will be integrated throughout, encouraging practitioners to centre and quieten the mind. Through the continual development of strength, mobility, stamina and breath awareness, students are given an opportunity to cultivate greater energy, mindfulness, and overall well-being.
